Retro Tile Set #2

Another free tile set based on some of my practice tiles.  I've touched up and expanded on them a bit to make them capable of creating a simple cave level for a platforming game.

I've included some assembled level parts on the sprite sheet near the individual 16x16 (or in some cases larger, if the 16x16 pieces are not useful by themselves) tiles to make it easier to see how they go together, and where tiles can be copied to extend surfaces.  You should be able to make elevated surfaces as high and wide as you need to if you use the tiles correctly.

Over time I plan to improve and expand on the set. Any updates will be added to the sprite sheet without replacing anything.

You are free to use these assets for any personal or commercial project, as well as edit them in any way you need to.

Update 2/15/20:  A number of additions and improvements, many of which can be seen in the new screenshot. Ground and platform tiles can be used in a number of ways by repeating sections and mirroring/rotating. Set of most of the ground tiles from the first release have been scrapped, but the original sheet is also included in the zip if you still want to use them.
